Machine Aesthetics: Patterns, Rituals and Algorithms

My interest in video art has been focused on the poetic mystery of abstraction and transformation through generative art. I have been using digital technology to explore dynamic creativity and constructing a visually encoded design logic between the philosophical mind and computer programming algorithms of experimental video art.

Generative art uses computer systems to create aesthetic forms that have endless variations and are dynamic and artistically expressive. The strategy of discovery and using complexity and randomization within the computer system creates a radical machine logic of repeating patterns. And these new artistic theories of aesthetic experience and transformation are being defined around the exploration and deconstruction of digital technology and creative coding practices.

This work examines the process of mapping dynamic systems and how information is transformed and manipulated though complex software and hardware systems. The use of computer-generated video is a radical frontier exploring the deep structure of abstract technology and the expansive experiences around digital media and its relationship to pioneering aesthetic theories and expanded artistic practices.
